Biden spoke about the cyberattack on 200 American companies

US President Joe Biden said he was not sure that Russia was behind the recent ransomware attack in the United States, Bloomberg reports.
“We are not sure if these are Russians … Initially it was assumed that this is not the Russian government, but we are not sure yet,” Biden said.

Earlier, the publication Wired, citing data from Huntress, reported that at least 200 American companies were attacked by a ransomware virus perpetrated by the REvil hacker group, some of whose members are allegedly located in Russia. According to the company, the hackers are apparently demanding a ransom from victims of approximately $ 45,000 in Monero cryptocurrency.
