Biden spoke about his love for trains and friendship with conductors

US President Joe Biden told how his love for trains nearly cost the conductor’s life, whose friendliness was not appreciated by the Secret Service guarding the top leadership of the States.
The President of the United States, speaking in Wisconsin, said that the Secret Service did not like it when he used the trains. Biden has been working in Washington for a long time and on the weekend goes to his native Delaware, one and a half hundred kilometers away. When he served as vice president in the Barack Obama administration, Biden said, he had the right to use the plane, but he refused because of the high cost of this mode of transport.

“I got on the train on Friday, and these guys, they almost became my family, the conductors. And one says: ‘Joey, kid,’ and this is how he grabs my cheek,” – said Biden, demonstrating exactly how he was grabbed by the face.

“I thought they (the Secret Service – ed.) Would shoot him. True, I thought so. I said: no, no, no, he is a friend,” the US president continued.
Biden said that then the conductors told him their calculations, according to which, at that time, he traveled more on trains than on planes.
