Biden signs executive order lifting restrictions on TikTok and WeChat

US President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Wednesday that lifts restrictions imposed by the previous US administration on the work of the social networks TikTok and WeChat. The corresponding document was distributed by the White House press service.

“The following decrees are revoked: executive order of August 6, 2020 “On countering the threat from TikTok and taking additional measures,” executive order of August 6, 2020 “On Countering the threat from WeChat,” executive order of January 5, 2021 “On countering the threat from applications and other software developed or Controlled by Chinese companies”, – the text says.
