Biden: Russia will “pay” for election interference

Earlier, the head of the FBI warned that Moscow continues to try to influence the US election.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has promised that Russia will “pay” to interfere in the 2020 election.

Speaking on CNN, Biden called election interference a “violation of sovereignty” and stressed that if he becomes President and the intelligence community finds evidence of Russian interference in the 2020 election, Moscow “will pay the appropriate price.”

He did not go into detail, noting that it would be “imprudent” to specify details now.

Earlier on Thursday, FBI Director Christopher Wray warned that Russia continues to influence the US election.
