Biden met with Elizabeth II: he became the 13th US president to see the Queen

Queen Elizabeth II and her family met the G7 leaders at the world’s largest indoor tropical garden at the Eden Project.

The meeting was attended by Her Majesty, the Duke, and Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The world leaders enjoyed welcoming drinks.

During the meeting with the leaders, the Queen had the opportunity to talk with US President Joe Biden and his wife. During the conversation, she smiled broadly, while Prince Charles chatted with Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, in the background.

Joe Biden became the 13th US president to meet the British Queen.

The two had previously met in 1982 when Biden was a senator.

Queen Elizabeth II is known to have met with every president since Dwight Eisenhower. Only one president has not met her during her 69-year reign: Lyndon Baines Johnson, who has never visited the UK as US president.
