Biden is ahead of Trump in popularity by 15 percent

Former Vice-President and most likely Democratic Party candidate in the presidential election, Joe Biden is ahead on the popularity of incumbent President Donald Trump by 15%, according to a survey by the Washington Post and ABC News.

The survey participants were asked who they would vote for if the election were held on the same day. Biden’s rating among the surveyed registered voters was 55%, and Trump’s was 40%.

The poll was conducted July 12-15 by telephone on a random sample of 1,006 American adults, including 845 registered voters. The survey has a statistical margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

The US presidential election will be held in November.
