Biden extends sanctions against North Korea

US President Joe Biden has extended sanctions against North Korea, the White House said.

As stated in the White House press service, Biden’s letter to parliamentarians, an extraordinary threat to the United States continues to be the danger of the proliferation of materials suitable for creating nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula. North Korea’s policy is destabilizing the situation in the region, Biden said.

“For this reason, I have decided that it is necessary to continue the sanctions regime against North Korea,” the document signed by Biden says.
