Biden discusses coronavirus fight with Modi

In India, the fifth consecutive daily world anti-record of coronavirus infection was recorded.

US President Joe Biden said in a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the United States will continue to support India in the face of an increase in new cases of coronavirus infection. This is stated in a statement issued on Monday by the press service of the White House.

“The US President held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of India, assuring that the US and India will work closely in the fight against COVID-19. The President promised that the United States would continue to support the people of India affected by the outbreak of cases of infection. “The parties expressed their intention to continue working to protect the citizens of the two countries and their health.”

India registered 352,991 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past day, which was another fifth consecutive world anti-record daily increase in those infected. The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the total number of people infected during the entire epidemic in the country reached 17,313,163.
