Biden did not say whether he trusted Putin

US President Joe Biden did not respond to a journalist’s question about whether he trusts Russian leader Vladimir Putin, and stressed that it is not a matter of trust, but self-interest and verification.

“Look, it’s not about trust, it’s about self-interest and verifying self-interest. That’s what it’s about,” the American leader said at a press conference following a meeting with Putin in Geneva.
