Former US Vice President Joe Biden intends to fight for the right to participate in the presidential elections in 2020. He said this at a press conference on April 25, reports The New York Times.
“We are fighting for the soul of this nation… If we allow Donald Trump to stay in the White House for eight years, he will change forever and fundamentally the character of this nation and who we are. I can not stand aside and look at everything that is happening,” Biden explained his decision.
Biden will be one of the 20 representatives of the Democratic Party who will qualify for the presidential election.
Joe Biden is the oldest and most experienced. During the years of his career, he was twice Vice President under Barack Obama, and before that forty years worked as a Senator from the state of Delaware.
Here it should be noted that in the past Biden already twice ran for the presidency and both times conceded. It was in 1988 and 2008.
