Biden asked for campaign money instead of bitcoins

US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party Joe Biden admitted that he does not have bitcoins and asked just to give money for his election campaign.

“I don’t have bitcoins, and I will never ask you to send them to me. But if you want to do your bit to help turn Donald Trump into a one-term President, you can do it here,” he wrote on Twitter on Thursday, posting a link to a donation site to his campaign headquarters.

The day before, Biden became one of those whose unknown people hacked the social network account. The victims of the hack included former US President Barack Obama, Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, billionaires Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg and Warren Buffett, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Uber, and others. The authors of the messages promised to return the bitcoins sent to them within 30 minutes in a doubled amount.
