Biden and Putin meet before Geneva summit

Biden and Putin met at a villa in Geneva, where the US – Russia summit will be held.

US and Russian Presidents Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin greeted each other in Geneva, shaking hands.

Putin was the first to arrive at the Villa La Grange, where the talks will take place. Biden joined him about 12 minutes later. After taking a photo with Swiss President Guy Parmelin, they shook hands and went to the talks. The US President was the first to extend his hand.


This is the first meeting between Putin and Biden.
