Biden and Merkel to meet in Washington

US President Joe Biden will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Washington, the talks will take place on July 15, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said.

The German Cabinet of Ministers confirmed the preparations for Merkel’s visit.

“I can confirm that the Chancellor will pay a working visit to Washington on July 15 at the invitation of US President Biden,” the cabinet said. The parties will discuss the pandemic, climate change issues, as well as the promotion of economic prosperity and international security “based on common democratic goals.”
