Biden accused Trump of deliberately dividing the US

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has accused President Donald Trump of trying to divide the country and undermine the legitimacy of the election.

“From the very beginning, he (Trump) realized that the only way for him to win (the election) for the first time and now is if he radically divides the country, so that we, divided, cut each other’s throats. But we are not like that!” Biden said at a press conference in Delaware. Local TV channels broadcast his speech live.

According to the candidate, Trump deliberately adheres to the wrong rhetoric. “How many times does this President have to say things that we all know are wrong? He’s a fraud,” Biden said, commenting on Trump’s call to vote twice in the upcoming election – by mail and in person. “It’s illegal, illegal here in Delaware,” Biden said.

“No President in history has ever done this! There are other “illegal” inappropriate things he said… this undermines the legitimacy of our democratic process,” the former US Vice President said.
“This is all aimed at creating such a volume of chaos that in the end, regardless of the outcome of the election, it’s all pointless,” Biden added.

The US presidential election will be held on November 3.
