Beyonce wrote a single that can qualify for the “Oscar”

American singer and actress Beyonce has composed and recorded the song “Be Alive” for Will Smith’s upcoming sports drama “King Richard,” reports the Los Angeles Times.

According to the publication, the world premiere of the film took place at the Telluride Film Festival (USA) earlier this month. The new composition of Beyonce, which has not yet been released, was played during the final credits, which was a pleasant surprise for everyone. Together with her, the musician Darius Scott, better known by the pseudonym DIXSON, worked on the track.

The Los Angeles Times notes that Beyonce is very likely to qualify for the Academy Award for this track (for the star, the award will be the first) and even perform it at the award ceremony in 2022.

“The members of the film Academy will never give up on Beyonce again after the fiasco with the song “Spirit” — a loud anthem from the film “The Lion King” (2019), which for unknown reasons did not even receive a nomination at the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony,” the publication recalled.

The film “King Richard” tells about Richard Williams (Will Smith) — the demanding father and coach of future tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams.

The family approved this picture, and Serena, Venus, and their sister Isha Price even acted as executive producers.
