American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Tony Ferguson is medically suspended from performing for at least 60 days, according to the MMA Junkie portal.
At the last UFC 249 tournament, 36-year-old Ferguson in the primary fight of the evening was defeated by a technical knockout from 31-year-old compatriot Justin Gaethje. The loser was taken to the hospital, where he was found to have a fractured orbital bone in the eye socket.
It is noted that further verification of Ferguson’s physical condition may lead to an increase in the period of his suspension. Gaethje, thanks to the victory won the interim championship belt in the lightweight division, received no medical restrictions.
