US President Donald Trump plans to seriously cut the budget in case of his victory in the presidential elections in 2020. The Washington Post reported, citing sources in the White House.
In case of re-election for a second term, the head of state wants to reduce drastically the budget. He has already given the relevant instructions to his assistants. It is noted that in 2021, Trump will have more opportunities to eliminate some offices if the Republicans regain control of the House of Representatives of the US Congress.
This move will change the spending policy of the American leader, which during his first 30 months in power was based on high costs. At the moment, he is in favor of the early removal of the Federal debt ceiling, which would increase costs and loans.
The next US presidential election is scheduled for November 3, 2020. In addition to Trump, who has held this post since 2017, among the main candidates is democratic politician Joseph Biden, former Governor of Massachusetts William weld, Senator from New Jersey Corey Booker, Junior Senator from New York Kirsten Gillibrand, writer Marianne Williamson.
