Azerbaijan responds to reports of Ukrainian mercenaries participating in the conflict with Armenia

Information about the alleged participation of Ukrainian mercenaries in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict on the side of Azerbaijan does not correspond to reality, said the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Leila Abdullayeva.

“This is baseless and contains complete misinformation. Azerbaijan has a fairly strong and professional army and does not need the support of any outside forces in preventing military provocations by enemy forces and restoring territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders,” Abdullayeva said.

According to her, Armenia allegedly attracts “mercenaries from the Middle East” to participate in the conflict and this is why such disinformation appears.

Earlier, the media and social networks reported that Ukrainian mercenaries take part in the conflict between the countries on the side of Azerbaijan.
