Azerbaijan appealed to the Turkish army for assistance for mine clearance in Karabakh

The press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said that the Turkish military would conduct the demining of the territories that came under Baku’s control in Karabakh.

They have already started sapper work.

“Specialists of the Turkish air force for the disposal of mines and improvised explosive devices have started to assist the Azerbaijani army in the territories liberated from occupation. Turkish military specialists will carry out work on demining and clearing these territories of explosive devices, as well as organize training sessions for our engineering units,” the Ministry said in a statement.

On November 10, the Kremlin press service issued a joint statement by the presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia on Karabakh’s ceasefire from the same day. Azerbaijan and Armenia undertake to stop fighting, stop at the occupied positions, and exchange prisoners of war. Yerevan should return the Kelbajar, Lachin, and Aghdam districts to Baku.

Also, Russian peacekeepers in the amount of 1,960 military personnel, 90 armored personnel carriers, and 380 pieces of equipment are being introduced to the region. They are located in Karabakh and the Lachin corridor.
