Azar: the first two COVID-19 vaccines will go into circulation in the coming weeks

Vaccination of certain population groups may start before Christmas.

Distribution of the first two coronavirus vaccines in the United States could begin before Christmas, Health Secretary Alex Azar said on Monday, after Moderna became the second vaccine manufacturer to receive US emergency approval.

Azar said on CBS that he and Vice President Mike Pence would talk to governors later Monday to discuss which populations should be vaccinated first.
