Austria will host two stages of Formula 1 after the cancellation of the Turkish Grand Prix

The Styria Grand Prix will replace the stage of the Formula 1 championship in Turkey in the calendar of this season, according to the newspaper Österreich.

The Turkish Grand Prix, which was scheduled to take place on June 11-13, will be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier, Formula 1 replaced the World Championship stage in Canada with a race in Turkey due to coronavirus restrictions in North America.

Instead of the race in Turkey, another Austrian stage will be added to the Formula 1 calendar at the Spielberg circuit-the Styria Grand Prix. The race will take place on June 27, and the French Grand Prix scheduled for this date will be postponed to June 20. The Austrian Grand Prix, as planned, will be held in Spielberg on July 4.

Last season, Formula 1 already hosted two races in Austria. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the championship started in two stages in Spielberg.
