Australian Prime Minister arrives on a government visit to the US

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is the second world leader, who has been given a high diplomatic honor of the state visit to the United States under the administration of the Trump.

On Sunday, Trump and Morrison will visit a new Australian-owned manufacturing facility in Ohio together.

In addition to communication, the leaders plan to discuss military, intelligence, and economic issues on Friday, with special attention to the Indo-Pacific region. They intend to sign a Memorandum of understanding on further cooperation between the United States and Australia in space, according to the administration.

Trump and Morrison will also discuss securing a stable market and supplying rare earth elements widely used in electric cars and cell phones. Programs will be launched to work together between the two countries on the processing of ocean plastic that damages marine fauna and fisheries, the employee said on condition of anonymity.

The last time the high diplomatic honor of a state visit to the United States was given to Australia in 2006 when President George W. Bush hosted Prime Minister John Howard.
