The publication USNI News reports on the fire on the ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6), which is moored in the Harbor of the naval base in San Diego (California).
Local media reports about explosions that were heard after the fire started, but at the moment there is no confirmation of this. The San Diego Fire Department said several sailors were injured in the fire. The CBS8 resource writes about one victim who inhaled smoke. At the moment, firefighters and the military are putting out the fire.

USS Bonhomme Richard launched in 1995. It belongs to the universal landing craft and is a kind of aircraft carrier, but designed for helicopters, not planes—the primary purpose of the ship-transportation and landing of troops.
