Arsenal beat Chelsea and wins the FA Cup

In the FA Cup final, London’s Arsenal defeated the capital’s Chelsea. The meeting took place at Wembley Stadium in London and ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of the Gunners.

Chelsea opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the match – Mason Mount made a pass to the center, Olivier Giroud threw the ball to Christian Pulisic with his heel, who opened the gate of Arsenal with his kick. In the 28th minute, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang converted the penalty and equalized the score.

In the 67th minute, Nicolas Pepe grabbed the ball, passed it into the penalty area, where Aubameyang dealt with the defender and threw the goalkeeper, scoring a double. Six minutes later, Mateo Kovacic received a second yellow card for a foul against Granit Dzhaki and left the field.

Arsenal won the trophy for the 14th time (1929/1930, 1935/1936, 1949/1950, 1970/1971, 1978/1979, 1992/1993, 1997/1998, 2001/2002, 2002/2003, 2004/2005, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2016/2017, 2019/2020). Chelsea has won the tournament eight times and has lost six more finals.
