Armenia and Azerbaijan have declared a truce

Yerevan and Baku decided to declare a truce from midnight on October 18, according to a statement on the website of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

“The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan agreed on a humanitarian truce starting from 00:00 local time on October 18,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry explained.

It is noted that this decision was made following the statement of the presidents of France, Russia, and the United States representing the OSCE Minsk group co-chair countries of October 1, 2020, the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs of October 5, 2020, and by the Moscow statement of October 10, 2020.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry also confirmed the entry into force of the humanitarian truce with Armenia in Karabakh from 00:00 on October 18.
