One of the most original Apple-branded stores is preparing to open in Singapore — it is made of glass and is located on the water. The company itself told me about the new outlet.
The building is located in Marina Bay, which is reflected in the name-Apple Marina Bay Sands. This is an all-glass dome structure that is supported by literally ten vertical pillars.
As the creators emphasized, the project is inspired by the Roman Pantheon. The store offers a 360-degree view of the city. Sunlight passes through the glass dome in such a way that it floods the room. And horizontal plates exclude the appearance of unpleasant glare. The interior of Apple Marina Bay Sands is made of wood and metal, and trees are planted in the shopping hall itself.
The unusual store will open on September 10. As Apple emphasizes, it will work with all coronavirus security measures: visitors and employees will put on masks, measure the temperature at the entrance, and observe social distancing on the trading floor.
