Apple Watch Series 6 will be able to measure the level of oxygen in the blood

Digitimes, referring to its own sources, reports that smartwatches Apple Watch Series 6 will be able to measure the level of oxygen in the user’s blood.

What does it mean

Earlier, evidence of upcoming support for monitoring blood oxygen was found in an early build of watchOS 7. Now, a report from Digitimes says that a special sensor is provided for this.

Most healthy adults have blood oxygen levels above 95%. If the indicator drops, the work of the heart and brain may be disrupted. It looks like, like with a heart rate sensor, Apple Watch Series 6 will monitor oxygen levels and notify the user if it goes down, and also advise you to seek medical advice.

Apple Watch Series 6 is also credited with an OLED screen, updated processor, sleep tracking, several sizes, and versions with different body materials.

The new watch model should debut in the fall along with smartphones of the iPhone 12 family. The exact date of the announcement is still unknown, but recently Apple has warned that deliveries of the next iPhones will begin several weeks later than last year. That is, the release of smartphones, apparently, can be expected in October.
