Apple unveils podcast subscriptions and a new version of the app

Apple yesterday at its Spring Loaded event announced not only AirTag, a new iMac, Apple TV 4K and an updated iPad Pro, but also a new Podcasts app.

The main innovation of the program is subscription. Starting next month, Apple users in over 170 countries will be able to listen to exclusive content for a fee. In addition, the subscription will include ad-free episodes and access to additional content from the authors.

As for the application itself, it also underwent several changes. For example, the developers have tweaked the show and episode pages and improved the search section. In addition, all podcasts will now have beautiful covers and previews.

The new Apple Podcasts app is coming to all iPhone owners with the release of the stable version of iOS 14.5. Subscription prices will be announced later.
