Apple sues well-known insider Jermaine Smit

Apple is suing designer Jermaine Smit, known by the nickname Concept Creator, who created a huge number of renders of unannounced Apple products.

According to the resource LetsGoDigital, which cooperates with Concept Creator, Apple demands to stop disclosing its trade secrets and disseminating information about new products. An example is the AirPods Max headphones, realistic renders of which the designer published a few months before the official announcement.

The statement refers to “stolen information,” although the renders were based on numerous leaks. The company also demands to stop its “harmful activities”, since the publication of such materials “deprives Apple of the opportunity to surprise customers with announcements of new products.”

“If this request is not met, Apple is ready to take any legal action necessary to protect its interests,” – said the company’s lawyers.

In turn, Jermain Smith does not see his guilt, he is unpleasantly surprised by the current circumstances.

“I am unpleasantly surprised by the letter from Apple, because I do not consider myself a distributor of information at all. I just want to create 3D concepts and develop with it. Now I have to think about how to deal with this in the future.”
