Apple released iOS with contact tracking system with COVID-19

Apple has released the third beta version of iOS 13.5, which introduced a contact tracing system for patients with coronavirus infection – its company is developing with Google. About this writes Bloomberg.

The tracking technology from Apple and Google will work through the API system, which will be implemented in iOS and Android using system updates. After launching the system, companies will open the tracking technology code for developers who can write applications.

At the same time, healthcare organizations from around the world will be the first to develop applications – they will create services to confirm the diagnosis of COVID-19. After this, the application will use Bluetooth to search with whom the patient is in contact and send them notifications of potential infections.

Beta testing of new versions of the system began on April 29th. The developers promised to send additional details and instructions on using the code to create applications separately.

In addition, in the iOS and iPadOS updates, an automatic authentication by Face ID appeared if a mask is put on the smartphone owner. In this case, the system will immediately ask you to enter the code to unlock the smartphone.
