Apple processor is faster than Intel in PassMark single-core test

The Apple M1 octa-core processor is faster than the Intel Core i7-11700K in the PassMark single-core test.

According to the PassMark benchmark, Apple’s single-chip system is even faster in single-threaded performance than the latest eight-core Core i7-11700K.

The Apple M1 processor is manufactured using TSMC’s 5nm process technology. It is Apple’s first proprietary processor for computers.

In the single-core PassMark test, the Apple M1 processor scored 3,550 points. The Core i7-11700K scored 3542 points in the same test. The difference in performance between the processors is only 0.2%, which can be attributed to an error.

At the same time, the Core i9-11900K is still the first with a score of 3741 points.
