Apple has stopped production of the iPhone 12 mini due to low demand

Analysts have repeatedly said that the iPhone 12 mini is the most unpopular model of the current line of Apple smartphones. Now there is another confirmation of this.

Taiwan – based research company TrendForce reported that Apple discontinued production of the compact smartphone in the second quarter. The reason for this was low demand. According to the reports of analysts from CIRP, the iPhone 12 mini is sold not only worse than its older counterparts but also smartphones of previous years-the iPhone SE and iPhone XR. By the way, for this reason, Apple also does not plan to release a new version of the device in 2022.

Recall that the iPhone 12 mini has a 5.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, a top-end A14 Bionic chip, 5G support, a dual 12 MP + 12 MP main camera, and a 2227 mAh battery with 15-watt charging. In the US, the device costs $699 (excluding taxes).
