Apple explains why it discontinued the iPhone 12 mini

Apple has discontinued the iPhone 12 mini. This is reported by the analytical portal TrendForce with reference to a source in the company.

Developers from Cupertino from their line of smartphones iPhone 12 have curtailed the production of the mini-version. The fact is that it turned out to be not very popular with buyers. However, other models of the iPhone 12 will continue to be sold.

According to sources, the iPhone 12 mini smartphone remains on sale until the models run out of stock. Today, the basic configuration of a device with a 64 GB drive in Russia is sold for 69 thousand rubles.

At the same time, the future of the mini-version in the new generation of iPhone is unknown. Many insiders are confident that Cupertino will take the risk and release an updated compact smartphone at the end of 2021.

Introduced in October, the iPhone 12 mini received a 5.4-inch OLED display, an Apple A14 Bionic chip, 5G support, a dual camera with 12-megapixel lenses, and support for MagSafe fast wireless charging.
