Apple announced iOS 14.2 beta 1: what’s new and when to wait for the update

Apple, a day after the announcement of the stable version of iOS 14, released iOS 14.2 beta 1.

Several small but useful changes have been added to the system. For example, the Control Center now has a button for the Shazam service (Apple bought it in 2017). With it, you can quickly identify the music playing nearby. Another innovation is a feature that suggests new tracks in Apple Music after your playlist. They are displayed in the Now Playing widget.

Also, Apple developers installed People Detection in iOS 14.2 beta 1 for visually impaired people. It is located in the Magnifier application and allows using the camera and augmented reality to determine the distance to people nearby.

iOS 14.2 beta 1 has already begun to be distributed over the air to participants in the software beta testing program.
