Antibodies to COVID-19 were revealed in volunteers after testing a Russian vaccine

The volunteers who tested the coronavirus vaccine developed with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Defense showed antibodies. This was announced in an interview with the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda by the head of the 48th Central Research Institute of the NBC Defense Troops of the RF Armed Forces, Colonel of the Medical Service Sergei Borisevich.

Already, the available analytical data confirm that as a result of vaccination, the necessary antibodies to the coronavirus were identified in the volunteers, and the vaccine components are safe and well-tolerated by humans.

Clinical trials at the Burdenko hospital are ending. Today, July 20, 20 volunteers will be discharged from him, he is the last group. Borisevich said that now scientists must carry out analytical work, draw up final reports, present the results of the study, and register the drug.

Borisevich emphasized that the scientific achievements and experience of the employees of the 48th Central Research Institute of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation helped to significantly reduce the time for a joint preclinical assessment of the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine with the Gamaleya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.

Note that on July 20, coronavirus vaccine trials are being completed at Sechenov University. The condition of the volunteers is assessed as normal.
