Anniversary of the protests: the US remembers African-American George Floyd

In the New York City borough of Brooklyn, activists gathered, before which the brother of the deceased, Terrence Floyd, spoke. A march of remembrance and solidarity with the Black lives matter movement was held in Minneapolis. At the events, slogans were chanted and songs dedicated to African-Americans who died at the hands of police officers were performed. George Floyd died on May 25, 2020, after a police officer used a chokehold during his arrest. His death was the beginning of mass protests in the United States against discrimination and police brutality.
