Americans ridiculed Biden before the summit in Geneva

American readers of The Wall Street Journal spoke about the upcoming meeting between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden in Geneva.

Users of the portal noted the inability of the US president to negotiate at the same level as his Russian counterpart.

“Biden, not Trump, is in Putin’s pocket. He made the Russian president stronger by stopping the development of the oil and gas industry. Biden is so mired in corruption that America will pay for decades for the damage done to the economy by his administration,” Robert Amrine wrote.

“Putin has nothing to worry about as long as Biden heads the administration,” Tim Trainor says.

“America is getting dumber…” Bryan Smith stated.

“Putin wants to make sure that Biden is as incompetent in person as he is on TV,” Wayne Longman joked.

The last full—scale Russia-US summit was held in 2018 in Helsinki: then Putin spoke with Donald Trump. The initiator of the new meeting, which will be held on June 16, was Biden. According to the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, the presidents will discuss Russian-American relations, strategic stability, as well as the fight against COVID-19, and the settlement of regional conflicts.
