American Airlines may return the Boeing 737 MAX to service at the end of the year

To begin with, the airline is going to use the liner only on the Miami – New York flight, which will be operated once a day from December 29 to January 4.

American Airlines, one of the largest airlines in the United States, plans to return the Boeing 737 MAX to service later this year if regulatory authorities issue a permit. This was reported on Sunday by Bloomberg.

According to him, the return of the aircraft to operation will be carried out in stages. To begin with, the airline is going to use the liner only on the Miami – New York flight, which will be operated once a day from December 29 to January 4. Passengers will be able to book their flight tickets from October 24. At the same time, they will be notified in advance that the flight will be carried out on the 737 MAX. A decision on whether to extend flights after January 4 will be made later.

On October 16, the European aviation safety agency recognized the Boeing 737 MAX airliner as safe enough to resume flights until the end of 2020. The Federal aviation administration (FAA) of the United States continues to consider returning the aircraft to service; the timing of the decision is still unknown.
