Amazon unveils its most powerful TV box, Fire TV Stick 4K Max

Amazon has officially unveiled the new Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which replaces the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K released in 2018.

It is a flagship device that supports faster Wi-Fi 6 connections and faster processor speeds than its predecessors. A 40% performance increase is claimed thanks to a 1.8GHz 4-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a GPU and an added low latency auto mode. As a result, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is now better suited for the Luna cloud gaming service.

Support for HDR and Dolby Vision is also announced. The set-top box is equipped with an Amazon Alexa Voice remote control with voice control and additional shortcut buttons.

It only costs $ 55, although Amazon says some of the streaming devices offering similar features cost up to $ 180. Acceptance of pre-orders has already started, but the first units will be delivered no earlier than October 7. Sadly, Amazon hasn’t disclosed details of the global launch of the Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
