Amazon has started delivering prescription drugs to the US at home

It is noted that some drugs cannot be ordered, including opioids.

The American Corporation Amazon has introduced a new service to deliver prescription drugs in the United States. This is stated in a statement published on its website on Tuesday.

The service was named Amazon Pharmacy. As representatives of the company clarified, “customers can now purchase prescription drugs in the Amazon online store.” Users need to create an account with Amazon Pharmacy and provide proof that a doctor prescribed the medicine. Some medications cannot be ordered, including opioids.

When making a purchase, the customer can enter information about their health insurance. In many cases, the insurance company bears part of the cost of purchasing medicine in the United States. The company assured that a system of discounts is also provided.

Amazon is the world’s largest Corporation that sells products and services over the Internet. It was founded in 1994 by entrepreneur Jeff Bezos. He is currently the richest man in the world.
