Amazon builds its own lab to test employees for coronavirus

Amazon has built its own laboratory to test employees for coronavirus. They plan to quarantine those who have even “the slightest sign of illness”.

Amazon plans to launch its lab to regularly test its employees for coronavirus. The company believes that this investment will preserve the “viability of work processes”.

Amazon said it has made more than 150 significant changes to processes at facilities around the world to ensure the health and safety of its employees. Among them – the distribution of masks and temperature measurement before each shift.

The company believes that regular testing at companies that cannot completely stop production during quarantine will gradually bring the economy back to working condition. “Unfortunately, to achieve this goal, more testing is needed”, Amazon said.

“If every person, even if he has no symptoms, could be tested regularly, this would be of great importance in the fight against coronavirus. Thus, all those who have signs of coronavirus will continue to work, and those who have a negative one will return to the economy”, the company noted.
