Al Pacino fell asleep during the Golden Globe ceremony

Tonight, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Golden Globe awards were handed out in the United States. This year, the ceremony was held in a new format — due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was held via video link. There was an incident: it seems that the American actor Al Pacino took a nap right during the broadcast.

This year, Al Pacino was nominated for an award for his role in the drama series ‘Hunters.’ However, the American actor, who already has five Golden Globes and a dozen other award nominations, did not follow the ceremony very closely. During the call, he either fell asleep or stared at the phone — this can be seen in the short video.

As a result, the statuette in the category Best Actor in a Drama Series was taken by Josh O’Connor to participate in the series ‘The Crown.’ You can read about the other awards here. We will only note that the drama ‘Nomadland’ and the comedy ‘Borat 2’ became triumphant of the evening — both films received two statuettes. Two awards were also awarded to the cartoon ‘Soul.’
