Actor Elliot Page will be the first transgender man on the cover of Time

Canadian actor Elliot Page will be the first transgender person to appear on the cover of Time magazine.

Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen, was released in early December 2020.

The cover of Time, which will go on sale on Friday, is published on the magazine’s Twitter account. “I am fully who I am,” reads the caption against a photo of the actor in jeans and a sweater. The caption below says that the article about Page is dedicated to the fight for equal rights for transgender people.

The first transgender woman on the cover of Time was American actress Laverne Cox in 2014.
