UN – About 3.5 thousand tourists refused to tour the UN headquarters in New York because of the situation with the coronavirus, head of the tour bureau Vincenzo Pugliese.
Tours at the headquarters have been suspended since Tuesday evening. According to Pugliese, the tours will not be held until at least March 31.
“So far, we have had about 3,500 people who have decided to cancel their tours of the UN headquarters,” the head of the tour bureau said.
The UN has also restricted visitors ‘ access to the headquarters since Tuesday because of the situation around the coronavirus. Now only those who have a valid UN pass or special event badge will be allowed into the Secretariat building. As follows from the text, any other visitors will need to register – they will be allowed only accompanied by an employee of the organization.
