A US Special Forces detachment has arrived in Ukraine to participate in military exercises

The training of the military of the two countries will last about a month.

Two military transport planes of the US Air Force delivered a group of special operations forces fighters to Ukraine to participate in exercises on the territory of the Vinnitsa region. This was announced on Monday by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“Servicemen of the 352nd Wing of the special operations forces arrived in Ukraine on two military transport aircraft MS-130 to conduct joint exercises with Ukrainian colleagues,” the ministry said in a statement. The purpose of the exercises, which will last about a month, is to “increase the level of compatibility between the units of the countries.”

Training and exchange of experience on tactical evacuation, first aid in combat, and the landing of personnel and cargo are planned.

“There are plans to conduct joint training flights to improve the interaction between the crews of the MS-130 and An-26 in the air,” the Defense Ministry said.

Last week, the Ukrainian Navy announced the beginning of the active phase of the multinational exercises “Dive-2021” in the Black Sea. In addition to Ukrainian servicemen, representatives of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, and the United States are participating in them.
