A three-year US visa for Russians will rise in price twice

American visa for a period of three years with the arrival of 2019 will rise in price for Russians from 160 to 303 dollars, reported on Thursday on the website of the U.S. Embassy in Russia.

“From January 1, 2019 the citizens of the Russian Federation in some cases are required to pay the fee for issuance of the visa if the application for a visa B1/B2 for business and tourist trips approved”, — stated in the message.

The diplomatic mission explained that if the visa is approved, the applicant will be able to choose between a visa without an additional fee for a year and a three-year visa, for which will have to pay 143 dollars. The application fee will still be $ 160.

The US Embassy noted that the changes are based on “reciprocity ” — the same fee Russia charges from the US citizens for the same type of visa.
