A politician who escaped from North Korea suggested why Kim Jong-un disappeared

The latest news about Kim Jong-un looks one more incredible than the other. Rumors about his health problems emerged a week ago, as it was noticed that the leader of North Korea does not appear in public. He was absent even at the celebration in honor of the birthday of his grandfather Kim Ir Sung. US TV channel CNN reported that Kim Jong-un is dying, and over the weekend, Western publications reported that he could have died the other day. The cause of Kim Jong-un’s death was called complications after a failed heart operation.

Former ruling party Chairman Lee Jong-Ho, who fled to the United States, suggested that Kim Jong-un’s disappearance was related to an injury sustained during nuclear tests, South Korean newspaper Dong-a Ilbo reports.

Amid rumors of his leader’s illness and death, North Korea’s state radio reported that he conveyed thanks to the workers and employees who helped create the city of Samjiyong. South Korea has also issued denials of Kim Jong-un’s death. Moon Jong-In, the special adviser to the President of the Republic of Korea on diplomacy and national security issues, told CNN that the head of the DPRK is healthy and has been in the Wonsan area since April 13. The same position is held by South Koreans in the Ministry of national unification.

“In connection with rumors about health problems of Chairman Kim Jong-un in North Korea, no signs are confirming them, and no unusual trends have been noticed, as was already announced at the meeting of the Presidium of the national security Council,” News Agency quoted Ministry spokesman.
