A police officer in the United States shot and killed a 16-year-old African-American woman who called up him

In Columbus (Ohio), a police officer shot and killed a 16-year-old African-American woman, Makiyah Bryant, after which protesters took to the streets, according to local TV channel 10TV.

At about 06: 30 local time, the police received a call to the station, and the police went to the scene. According to the victim’s family, she dialed 911 because of an argument between girls near her home.

Breast-cam footage released by police shows an employee shooting Bryant as she lunged at another girl with a knife.

The victim died in hospital, where she was taken in critical condition.

Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther said on Twitter that a “young girl tragically died” in the city on Tuesday, but he did not give any details. “I ask residents to remain calm and allow the Bureau of Investigation to gather facts,” he wrote.

However, as reported by 10TV, a crowd of protesters gathered at the police department, which began to shout the name of the deceased.
