A man in a Hulk costume smashed a Trump star on the “Walk of fame”

An unidentified man dressed as the Marvel Comics character Hulk smashed “beyond recognition,” the star of US President Donald Trump on the “Walk of fame” in Hollywood, Free News reports, citing law enforcement sources.

The incident occurred on Friday. A man in a superhero costume destroyed the President’s star with a pickaxe. According to the portal, the cost of damage is estimated at more than 5 thousand dollars. Police have not yet detained any suspects, and an investigation is underway. Workers have already started repairing the damaged star.

Trump’s star on the “Walk of fame,” which he was awarded in 2007 for participating in the show “The Apprentice,” was repeatedly attacked by vandals; in particular, it was painted with various symbols. The most serious damage to the star was caused in October 2016, when a resident smashed it with a sledgehammer. In 2018, it was also broken with a pickaxe. A man who turned himself in to police was given a suspended sentence for vandalism. Local activists published a petition demanding that the Trump star be removed, but city officials refused to do so.

Now on the “Walk of fame,” located on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street, more than 2.5 thousand named stars of actors, musicians, producers, directors, and many other people contribute to the entertainment and art industry. The walk of fame is one of the unique tourist attractions in Los Angeles, which is visited by about 10 million people a year.
