US Supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 87, is hospitalized with a suspected infection, according to a statement from the US Supreme court.
“Justice Ginsburg was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, early this morning for treatment of a possible infection,” the court said in a statement.
It is noted that she was initially examined at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington after her temperature rose, and chills began.
“Today, she underwent an endoscopic procedure at Johns Hopkins hospital to clear a bile duct stent that was installed last August. The judge is resting and will remain in the hospital for several days to receive intravenous antibiotic treatment,” the statement said.
